Staff Selection Commission conducts Common Graduate Level Exam every year for Grade B, Grade C posts for approx 10K vacancies in various departments as follow:
1. Assistant Audit Officer(Group “B” Gazetted (Non-Ministerial))
☞ Department: Indian Audit & Accounts Department under C&AG☞ Job Profile: Needs to assist audits in government/public sector organisation. Also needs to travel during an inspection.
2. Assistant Accounts Officer(Group “B” Gazetted (Non-Ministerial))
☞ Department: Indian Audit & Accounts Department under C&AG☞ Job Profile: Work includes data entry, processing, and recording transactions. Assisting with audits or fact-checking
3. Assistant Section Officer(Group “B” )
☞ Department: Central Secretariat Service, Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Railway, Ministry of External Affairs, AFHQ☞ Job Profile: It is a desk job and the lowest post in the Central Secretariat Services
4. Assistant (Group “B” )
☞ Department: Other Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations☞ Job Profile: Different clerical responsibilities in different departments. Compiling files, reports, keeping track of ongoing cases, etc.
5. Inspector of Income Tax(Group “C” )
☞ Department: CBDT☞ Job Profile: Assessing Income Tax payable by people or companies. Managing TDS and refund claim
6. Inspector (Central Excise)(Group “B”)
☞ Department: CBIC☞ Job Profile: Checking if there is any kind of invasion of excise duty, preventing smuggling & assisting raid teams
7. Assistant Enforcement Officer(Group “B”)
☞ Department: Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue☞ Job Profile: Preventing forgery and money laundering
8. Sub Inspector(Group “B” )
☞ Department: Central Bureau of Investigation☞ Job Profile: Main responsibility is to gather information and make enquiry and investigations
9. Inspector(Group “B”)
☞ Department: Central Bureau of Narcotics☞ Job Profile: Illegal manufacture and transport of opium
10. Junior Statistical Officer(Group “B”)
☞ Department: M/o Statistics & Programme Implementation☞ Job Profile: Assisting the Statistical Officer in drafting documents, data entry and tabulation
11. Statistical Investigator Grade-II(Group “B”)
☞ Department: Registrar General of India☞ Job Profile: Drafting Documents, preparing survey reports, editing and compiling existing data
12. Auditor(Group “C” )
☞ Department: Offices under C&AG, CGDA☞ Job Profile: Audit expense details of the State Departments
13. Accountant/ Junior Accountant(Group “C”)
☞ Department: Other Ministry/ Departments☞ Job Profile: Passing of various bills, salary allowances, office expenses, pension-related issues
14. Senior Secretariat Assistant/ Upper Division Clerks (Group “C” )
☞ Department: Central Govt. Offices/ Ministries other than CSCS cadres☞ Job Profile: Clerical level post. Requires employee to maintain files & data entry
15. Tax Assistant(Group “C”)
☞ Department: CBDT/ CBIC☞ Job Profile: Access, modify and verify tax of individual or business
