The NDTV in their prime time news telecast on 17th and 18th January 2018, covered the functioning of various public service commissions/ Staff Selection Commissions in the country.In this series, the channel had also covered the Staff Selection Commission, New Delhi, based on limited inputs related to tow its examinations viz. combined higher secondary level examination 2015 and combined graduate level examination 2016, without a proper appreciation of the overall context. To put things in their correct perspective and for the benefit of the candidates so that they are not misled by this vilification campaign, the commission had on 18.1.2018, uploaded on its website a transparent comprehensive and updated report of its activities during the last two years including a correct profile of the two examinations reported upon by NDTV. A copy of the said report was also sent to NDTV.
